CONTACT LENSES

We fit contacts for all ages and prescriptions!

We are passionate about contact lenses because of the freedom they provide to play sports, enjoy outdoor activities, and wear any sunglasses. If you are new to contact lenses, our staff will guide you through the insertion, removal, and care of contact lenses from start to finish.

Our simplified fee structure covers your evaluation whether you are near-sighted or far-sighted, require toric lenses for astigmatism, or use multifocal lenses for presbyopia. After your contact lens examination is complete, you will receive your prescription so that you can purchase your supply of contacts from Costco Optical or any contact lens seller of your choice. Our office does not sell contact lenses.

Our doctors have immediate access to thousands of diagnostic contact lenses covering most of our patients' prescriptions. Chances are, you'll be wearing your next set of lenses before you leave the clinic!

New to contacts?
We are happy to fit first time contact lens wearers at our office! Ask our front staff about scheduling an appointment to see if you're a candidate for contacts. The doctor will perform a vision test and fit you in a pair of sample lenses to ensure they're a good fit for your eyes.

Our front office staff will walk you through the process of inserting and removing your lenses, as well as how to properly care for them. Expect a contact lens exam for a beginner to take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.

It's not a bad idea to watch other people insert and remove their lenses to get familiar with the process before attempting it yourself! If you have friends or family who wear contacts, you can ask to observe them, or watch video guides online like this playlist from Doctor Eye Health on Youtube:
Interested in myopia control for your child or teen?

Ask our staff about being evaluated for MiSight contact lenses!

Myopia, also known as near-sightedness, is a condition where the eye is too long, causing distance vision to appear blurry. Myopia development is influenced by a combination of genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Studies show spending 1-2 hours outdoors per day reduces the risk of developing or worsening myopia. Although most myopic patients experience no adverse effects aside from blurry vision, myopia can increase the risk of eye health complications later in life, such as myopic maculopathy and retinal detachments.

CooperVision MiSight contacts are the first and only FDA-approved contact lenses clinically shown to help reduce the progression of myopia. Clinical studies have shown them to  be effective for children aged 8-12, with older teens also being candidates. Children using MiSight contacts in these studies experienced an average reduction of 59% of myopia progression over a span of three years.

MiSight contact lenses are soft, daily-disposable contact lenses intended to be replaced every day with a new pair. They are safe, practical, and comfortable lenses that can be worn throughout your child's daily life, including while participating in sports and after-school curriculars. The CooperVision MiSight website has more information.

If you're interested in having your child evaluated for MiSight contacts, please call us and speak to one of our front office staff.
